Temporary Closure of Witney Street to Whitehill, Burford

 

TRAFFIC REGULATION NOTICE

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984

 Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, that the Oxfordshire County Council

 

TEMPORARILY PROHIBITS THE USE OF AND WAITING ON THE HIGHWAY

BY ALL MOTOR VEHICLES

        

         LOCATION:         Burford, Witney Street

         REASON:           Carriageway resurfacing & patching 

DURATION:         Starting on 28 September 2020

                             The anticipated completion date is 02 October 2020

                             (Any time 24 hours full closure)

 

                                     (Traffic Regulation Notices cover a maximum of 5 consecutive days)

        

         ACCESS:             Limited access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for frontages within the closed section of road, subject to the progress of the works

 

The “No Waiting” restriction means that wherever there are in place yellow “No Waiting” cones, you will not be able to park vehicles on the highway.

 

SUGGESTED ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: The alternative routes for traffic are via a combination of The Hill (A361) – A40 and vice versa.

SUGGESTED ALTERNATIVE ROUTE for Local traffic are via a combination of: Guildenford – Church Lane – High Street (A361) – The Hill (A361) – Barns Lane – Pytt’s Lane and vice-versa.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984

 Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984,

that the Oxfordshire County Council

 

TEMPORARILY  PROHIBITS WAITING ON THE HIGHWAY

BY ALL MOTOR VEHICLES

        

         LOCATION:         Burford, Priory Lane

                   

         REASON:            To facilitate carriageway / patching resurfacing works

 

DURATION:         Starting on 21 September 2020

                                     The anticipated completion date is 25 September 2020 (date included). This will operate between 07:00 and 17:00

 

                                     (Traffic Regulation Notices cover a maximum of 5 consecutive days.)

                            

         ACCESS:             Limited access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for frontages subject to the progress of the works
